Henri is looking for a new home because my health is preventing me from caring for her properly.
Henri will be 15 this year and you have to take into account the lifespan of a tortoise when thinking of taking one on. Henri should have another 50 years in her! If you are interested, you would need to show a good understanding of caring for a Horsefield tortoise. Horsefields need a variety of fresh weeds, not salad or fruit, though some lambs lettuce can be included in their diet. Henri would come with her own 2 story indoor housing, but needs to live outdoors, at least in the daytime in summer. We usually put her into her large outside enclosure once the temperature is consistently above 10c. She has a watering hole in her enclosure and is very independent once the weather is warm enough for her to remain outside, she will dig into a favourite spot or spend the night in a flowerpot that is partially dug into the ground.
