Rio is a 10 month old green cheek conure. He is friendly and full of character. So far has never bitten. Once he is used to you he will sit on your shoulder and walk round the house with you doing your daily activities. He hasn’t let me stroke him yet but he is letting me kiss him and put my face against him when he’s on my shoulder but I believe the more time spent with you and the bond builds up that he will and he’ll be a loving bird. He will bath/shower under the tap. I believe he knows his name. We have only had Rio a couple of months but due to circumstances changing I am now looking for a new loving home for him. The owners before me had him from a baby and the breeder believed he’s male although this can only be confirmed by a DNA test. Rio will come with his cage, toys and feed, however Rio has learnt to squeeze through the bars on his cage to let himself out so maybe to change his cage if you’d want him in at times. Rio did have a friend when we bought him but one day he just vanished so we’re guessing he quickly shot out the door when it was open. We have 3 lovebirds here of my nephews at the mo and Rio talks to them lots so Rio would love a friend of his own but would be ok if someone was at home with him majority of the time.
