Description
Hiya here for sale we have 4 of our adorable rescued rabbits with cages. Me and my partner have rescued plenty of animals and we love them all and have given them a good home but unfortunately we are moving and where we are moving to has no space for lots of rabbits. All of our rabbits are unique and have their own little personalities. I will do a brief description for each. We would love to keep them but we unfortunately cannot. All 4 of these rabbit will come with a cage of sorts for them to temporarily be housed in with there new owners. With a litter tray each , bowl, and water bottle , each cage can be freshly cleaned apon request to pick up. Our rabbits spend time with plenty of other rabbits in our garden within the runs we have so are used to other animals. Picture 1 Meet Gary he is a mixed breed rabbit (he is neutered) he is a lovely bunny loves being in the garden. He is a little shy till he gets to know you he wasn’t looked after in his previous home so he takes time to trust you. He was born with a slightly deformed rear foot so he runs with a bit of weird style but does not effect him at all day in day out . He was also born with some form of nose issue which makes him honk sometimes but again this has been checked and doesn’t affect him. He just needs a good loving home. He gets on with some rabbits not all. He loves a cuddle just not to often. 95 % litter trained Picture 2 Sheila , this is Shelia she is a pure lop female (not neutered) she was rescued from a home where she was a little girls rabbit who lost interest in her. She is very food motivated and loves being in the garden. She used to be bonded with Gary until she had her first litter since then she hasn’t got on with any him. She will be ok with other rabbits just introducing them slowly. She loves to explore and loves her cabbage and carrots. 80 % litter trained Picture 3 (Michael has now been rehomed) Michael, he is not neutered . lop , Michael is a very energetic rabbit who loves running around the outdoor run, he loves his food and gets on with any rabbit we have introduced him with. And loves a cuddle Aslong as he gets his outside time he is happy. 95 % litter trained Picture 4 John , mixed lop , John is unique he always has 1 ear up and 1 ear down , he is full of energy and is always zooming around his cage and run and tires him self out everyday . He loves his fresh veg he also gets on with any rabbit he has met no problem. He is 95 % litter trained . Buyer's checklist for rabbits

1

Be responsible, do your research first

Getting rabbits is a massive commitment, so make sure you have researched all of their general needs, and those specific to their breed fully and have the time and commitment necessary to care for the rabbits. You can read our detailed information guide about rabbits for potential new rabbit owners. If you are looking for a rabbit to keep your rabbit company remember that they will both need to be neutered and that a male / female pair works best. Rabbits are a long term commitment as they can live up to 10 years.

2

Rabbits need a friend and space

Rabbits should never be kept alone, they need the company of other (neutered) rabbits. They need space to stand, hop, jump and run, and safe places for hiding. The absolute minimum space required 24/7 for up to 2 average sized rabbits is area 3m x 2m x 1m high.

3

Health check & welfare

It can be difficult for the average person to check if a rabbit is healthy or not. The seller should be willing to let you take the rabbit to a vet of your choice for a health check and return the pet within 48 hours for a full refund if there are health issues. If the rabbit has already been health checked, make sure you have this documented and phone their vet. Also remember rabbits need to be neutered so that they can live with other rabbits, and vaccinated annually to protect them against myxomatosis and RVHD1 and 2. Register with a rabbit friendly veterinary Practice. We would advise that you read the following article containing rabbit care and welfare information provided by the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund (RWAF).

4

Report, don’t support!

If you believe a rabbit may be subject to irresponsible breeding, do not “rescue” the rabbit by rehoming it. Walk away and report the seller to us immediately.

5

Rabbits must be 8 weeks when collected

Rabbits must be at least 8 weeks old and fully weaned before they can leave their mothers. Most responsible sellers will keep their rabbits longer than this before they let them go to new homes. Make sure you take some of the food with you so you can change over to your own food gradually.
