Alf is a gorgeous lad who has previously been in a home, but returned to rescue by the family through no fault of his own. His dad was chatting over a neighbour's gate when this drunk with a can of Fosters in his hand staggered down the road with a cap pulled down over his head.
Despite Alf's owner telling him not to touch his dog, the guy reached out drunkenly towards Alf and his dad at which point Alf grabbed the guy's jacket arm. He was just defending his dad from what he perceived to be danger.
Due to this incident, although the guy was physically unharmed, Alf's family returned him to rescue, where we have never seen any aggression towards a human being or another dog. In fact, he is one of the most gentle and loving dogs once he knows you and always gives me a big kiss when I see him.
He is approximately four years old, is microchipped, flea and worm treated, vaccinated, neutered and is the size of a Labrador. He walks well on a lead and loves to sniff about in the lanes and the forest near the Alf needs a calm and quiet home, where he can be part of a family and loved once more. Experienced dog owners only as Alf can be strong on the lead at times if he picks up a scent, although he does understand 'wait' and 'heel' and responds well.
Adult children only and an adopter who has time to give him good walks and continue with his training.

ADOPTION CRITERIA - PLEASE READ BEFORE
APPLYING
• Minimum age for adopters is 30
• A successful home check is required
• The adoption donation is £190
• We do not rehome our dogs in flats/apartments unless ground floor with own private garden
No cats
• Adult children only (over 16)
A fully secure garden with at least 5' fences/ boundaries is required
• Alf can be left for up to 4 hours at a time
• Full lifetime rescues back up
