No undertaking will be given to home puppies until prospective owners have visited us and been approved.
To provide the best start in life our puppies are not be homed until after 12 weeks of age when they have had full interaction with their extended family and have developed sound canine social skills.
Our Puppies have been lovingly bred and reared at "MASTAMARINER Border Collies & Golden Retrievers” for TEMPERAMENT first, they are gentle, calm, docile, very relaxed and people focused.
The puppies are are a variety of colours including Black, Blue, Red and Lilac (WE DO NOT BREED MERLE), long coated, classically marked, well boned and beautifully constructed, they are only available to suitable (separate) homes.
Our puppies are born and raised in our home in exemplary conditions and thoroughly socialised, in a managed and positive fashion, with adults, children and older dogs.
Our puppies remain with us until they have completed their full course of inoculations and are able to go out and about without restriction, until then life in our busy household and integration with generations of their kindly relatives is beneficial in producing outgoing, well rounded and confident puppies who are ready to face the world. Our puppies attend our training classes as soon as it is safe for them to do so.
The pups are on a thorough worming programme, will have two separate routine health checks, be fully inoculated (with documentation), micro-chipped, insured, very well handled and copiously cuddled to produce outgoing, sociable companions, they have been bred to be calm, reliable, responsive and biddable.
The litter have been bred from outstanding, health checked, parents, with exceptional temperaments, both parents were bred by us and live with us in our home as a part of our family. The mother is a gentle, bright, friendly and very biddable, the father is intelligent, kind and loving, both have excellent conformation, outstanding temperaments with people and other dogs and hold KCGCDS Gold Awards. Both parents are calm, gentle and bred to enjoy family life.
Although our breeding includes Show and Working Champions we have selectively bred over many generations for the temperament and calmness of character that produces ideal companions and family members.
We share our home with several generations and many other relatives of the puppies.
Parents are fully health tested including Hips, Eyes and full (clear) DNA Tests.
Our puppies are only available to permanent, loving homes with day-time company, lots of fun and affection and where they will enjoy gentle and consistent tuition that will enable them to reach their potential as happy, sociable, well mannered members of society enjoying the company of caring, responsible owners.
Our puppies are homed strictly as companions and family members. We do not necessarily exclude homes where owners take part in canine hobbies with their pets but we do not home puppies where these activities are disproportionately the focus of ownership.
We do not under any circumstances export our puppies or sell to homes overseas.
We do not supply our puppies to third parties, this includes assistance dog charities, employees of prospective owners, or (as gifts for) friends, or family members.
We do not sell puppies as "breeding stock", our homing agreement requires prospective owners to undertake that these puppies will not be bred from.
Whilst our puppies are by nature exceptionally child friendly, any children must of an age that allows owners the time necessary to meet the needs of vulnerable, dependent, developing puppies with a thirst for learning. Homes that already include other gentle, well-mannered dogs are acceptable but not essential.
Owners of our puppies are required to insure their puppy with a “for life” policy and to contact us for assistance if at any time changed circumstances force them to part with any dog we have bred, regardless of its age or state of health.
We will always take back any dog that we have bred regardless of circumstance.
Prospective owners should note the conditions of homing included here and contact us by email including all the information asked for in our Request for Information on our web site. This may lead to an initial telephone interview, following which potentially suitable owners may be invited to meet us and our extended canine family, including the puppy’s parents, grandparents and many of their relatives.
We are experienced, Licensed Breeders, Professional Dog Trainers (Qualified with British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers) and Canine Behavioural Specialists who place an overriding emphasis on temperament and character. We are always available to provide support and advice to owners our puppies and extend an invitation for them to stay with us should their owners be away. We care passionately for our puppies (of any age) and our after-homing support is ongoing and unlimited.
Our dogs are our best references as are the outstanding reports that we enjoy receiving from our owners across the UK. Our dogs are bred first and foremost for outstanding temperament supported by health (both in the selection of parents and in careful rearing) as well as excellent character and conformation.
