This gorgeous boy is Martini, and he's looking for his big break in life, a place to call home.
Martini is 4/5 years old, and medium/large in size (30kg).
Martini needs a very special home, he was bullied in the Public Shelter, so is nervous around other dogs. With careful and sensible introductions, he is fine.
Martini is looking for an adult only home, with rescue dog experience. He would like to be the only dog, in a home with a garden.
He walks well on the lead, and he is toilet trained.
Martini would like a meet and greet with his potential new family before adoption.
Martini will come:
-Microchipped
-Vaccinated
-Neutered
-With a dog passport
-With a full rescue backup
*Please seriously consider what it actually means to adopt a dog from Romania. These dogs come with emotional baggage and need someone who can understand why they may behave in a certain way, and train them with patience and positive reinforcement to help them heal. They will not arrive perfect- some may have food aggression, some may be fearful of men, some may come from horrible conditions such as kill shelters and have an unknown background.
*Only when you have fully understood these traumas and conditions and are serious about adopting this dog FOR LIFE, then you should apply.
*Remember to set boundaries from day 1 as boundaries are key in helping this dog adjust from shelter life to home life. Always train using positive reinforcement.
*These dogs have been through too much already- it's all of our responsibility to ensure that the past is the past, and help them to heal into an all-round family pet.
