Rafiki is a beautiful soul who was rescued in Cyprus and has lived in the UK for almost 2 years. Through absolutely no fault of his own following a change in his family’s circumstances he needs to find a new forever home. Here is a little about him:
Rafiki’s vet in the UK thinks he may be younger than the estimated date of birth given to him when he was rescued, as when he arrived in the UK the condition of his teeth and his behaviour suggested he was a younger boy. So, we can only guess at his age and he could be anywhere from 4 to 6 years old.
He is a pointer cross who weighs around 25 kg so is a medium size.
He can be shy in new situations but soon his playfulness comes through. He currently lives with another dog and 2 cats, so he would be very happy to share his new home with other dogs or dog friendly cats or both!
He currently enjoys walks through forests and can be off lead, so hopefully in time his new family will have a recall with him too. He is also happy to play with other dogs he meets. He generally walks well on a lead.
His loves to play tug or fetch and his favourite game is playing “find it” when biscuits are hidden outside for him to find.
He sleeps well through the night and is housetrained.
Rafiki is looking for a new home with another calm and loving dog or dogs who will help him have confidence and settle quickly into his new family. Any children should be older and dog savvy as Rafiki has never met young children.
He would like a safe garden at his new home. He is a super boy and we know he will make his new family complete!
He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped

ADOPTION IS SUBJECT TO A SATISFACTORY APPLICATION AND HOME CHECK.
ADOPTION FEE £250
Post adoption support is available from our rescue.
Our rescue must be informed at any time of a change in circumstances and our dog returned to one of our volunteers where required. Rafiki must never be handed over to any UK Rescue or sold or adopted on without our knowledge. We always accept the return of our dogs and will endeavour to rehome them accordingly.
