Description
Luna has the best of both worlds with her breeding, she is 50/50 Labrador/ German shepherd otherwise known as a Sheprador.
She has the playfulness, the cuddlyness the happiness and is energetic like a Labrador, while she has the protectiveness of a German shepherd. She will ward off dogs that come into her 'family space' and one walks she will count you with her eyes to make sure everyone is there and safe, and if you're further away from the rest of your family she will run to you, check you're ok and run back to the others and keep doing it until we're all together again. She is great with people and will be everyone's friends, she'll lick everyone like a lollipop from love.
She loves to play with other dogs, especially the ones her size and can really give them a run for their money. She is good with most dogs but some little dogs she will bark at to leave her alone, as she was attacked by little dogs when she was a few months old. She has never shown aggression against a person or an animal, just warning backs to back away.
She is purely fed on hard food but loves all food and treats and is trained to sit, down, paw, other paw, wait, bed, touch. And is well trainable to do other things, we've just not had the time. She also has good recall. If you have a ball or food she it putty in your hands.
Luna on the street should be walked on lead, and as she is a 27kg dog I put her on a halti just so I have control of her rather than the other way around. She can be let off leads as soon as not on roads near pathways, she loves a good run around and a ball play with the flinger.
We have a cat and rabbit Luna gets on with and also 9&6 year old children that Luna has loved since they were 7&4, and been nothing but loving and protective towards.
She is a family dog, loves to be around people, she is fun and caring and loving, she is crate trained and can be left in her crate if needed, but also she has never chewed anything other than teddies that have been left on the floor, never touched any other toy laying around and in the garden knows which one is her ball and won't attempt to play with the kids balls.
Luna is the best dog we could have ever have asked for, it is a really difficult decision to make to rehome her, but our situation has changed and she'll be better off in a loving family that can give her the love and time she deserves.
She will come with everything we have, 2 memory foam beds, her crate, her leads, halti, food bin with any food we have, poo bags, shampoo, toothbrushes/paste, coats etc We want her to be as comfortable in her new home as possible.
The ideal rehoming would be for us to meet you and see how Luna is with you, to see you home environment and what her life would be like with you.
We are negotiable on the price for the right home.
