We have been asked by a fellow rescue to help find Milo a new home.
Unfortunately, Milo’s previous owner suffered serious health issues over the last few years, which resulted in Milo not being cared for properly. The owner’s family reached out for help and he is now being cared for at a rescue kennels near Wisbech.
Milo is a 9 year old Labradoodle, but as his coat was in an awful condition, due to lack of grooming and care, he was shaved right back so currently looks more Lab than Doodle. He also had a nasty case of conjunctivitis, which is receiving medication at the moment snd healing. He is booked in for a full health check and re-vaccinations on Tuesday 5 February. He is neutered.
He is a tad overweight at the moment due to having had no exercise and is currently on a low-fat diet to shed a few kilos.
Due to lack of socialisation with other dogs over recent years, Milo needs to be rehomed as an only dog and definitely not with cats.
On the plus side, Milo is very friendly and sociable with people and has not been aggressive towards any of his neighbouring dogs in the kennels. He loves playing ball and will happily run and fetch it, dropping it back at your feet for you to throw again.
We took him down the lane for a stroll to assess him on a lead and he walks beautifully, not pulling at all (see video in comments).
Although, at the moment, Milo doesn’t look his best, with the love and care of a new family, a good diet and sufficient exercise - and of course once his coat grows back - he will be a stunning dog as his colour is a beautiful mink colour.
This poor lad has been neglected terribly over the past few years and deserves to spend the rest of his life being loved and cared for. ❇️ Minimum age for adopters is 25
❇️ A successful home check is required
❇️ Adoption donation applies
❇️ We do not rehome our dogs in flats/apartments unless ground floor with own private garden
❇️ Children above the age of 8 years old
❇️ A fully secure garden with at least 5’ fences/boundaries is required
❇️ If working, no more than 4 hours absence at any one time
