French bull X dachshund!
A pair of affectionate, patient, loving, charismatic, ball chasing, blanket snuggling, happy brothers who we so so sadly have chosen to find a new home for due to a marriage breakdown, this has been a difficult decision to make but with both of us now having to work full time and buying separate homes, we can’t give these boys the attention they deserve.
These boys deserve the best home and I’ll be sure to find that for them. Within 5 minutes of meeting them you’ll see how lovely they are, they have nothing but love to give and are always happy to see you.
Reg is the fastest, so more often than not he wins the ball chase. If Martin ever gets the ball then he holds onto it for a little bit longer just to annoy his brother, before bringing it back to play fetch again. They could play it for hours, and despite their little legs they can run so fast! Martin likes to climb inside your dressing gown to snuggle, Reg will nudge your hand for some tummy scratches.
They’re excitable for the first 5 minutes after arriving home, understandably, but quickly calm down and go back to either sleeping or playing with each other.
We trained them separately from being pups, so they have great recall, will sit, will stare at a treat on the floor and wait until you say ‘yes’, will go in their crate when you ask and will go for a wee when you say ‘go now’.
They are:
-micro-chipped (documentation provided)
- neutered at 2 years old
-vaccinated (plus annual vaccines, can obtain proof from vets)
- up to date with flea and worming treatment (they have a monthly subscription with the vet, we can obtain proof for this)
- Very well trained
- friendly with other dogs and children (they have grown up with my son since he was newborn and have been nothing but loving and joyful with him and other children).
These boys need to be kept together, I wouldn’t let them be separated after being together from birth until now (almost 5 years old). Fun fact, we went to view the dogs with intention of getting one but these boys were cuddling together every single time we visited and we couldn’t bare to take one without the other. So they both came home with us and it’s the best thing we ever did!
