I've made the tough choice to find a new home for my lovely indoor cat, Betty (Betsy). I rescued her and her sister, but they've started fighting lately, and her sister is now really scared of her. On top of that, I have a mobile toddler, and Betty is having a hard time adjusting. She was great with my daughter as a baby, but now that my daughter is more active, Betty is finding this overwhelming. I'm worried about leaving them alone together, and as a single parent, it's becoming increasingly challenging, especially since my daughter is always trying to sneak out.
I think Betty would do well with kids who understand her need for space, as my daughter is obsessed with her and just wants to cuddle all the time. Betty is such a sweetheart, but I can tell she's getting stressed, and I want her to be in a home where she can feel at ease. She can and will sleep literally anywhere but absolutely loves snuggling up in bed at night. She has never climbed on the kitchen worktop. She finds the coziest spot in the house and lounges there until she wants some attention. She enjoys playing too. While Betty is primarily an indoor cat, she does like to explore the garden occasionally. She's litter trained and has recently been treated for fleas and worms.
