Charlie was adopted in October 2023 as a young pup but returned to the rescue six weeks ago as he had some resource guarding issues and the adopters felt they didn’t trust him around young children.
We have been working with Charlie since his return and he has also been assessed by a qualified behaviourist in person in a home environment and he passed all the tests.
Charlie needs an experienced patient adopter who is prepared to give him time to settle in and to help him integrate back into a home environment and manage any resource guarding issues should this restart.
He loves his walks and walks beautifully on the lead without pulling. He is clean in his kennel and was house trained in his previous home. He can be rehomed on his own or with a female dog for company.
We walk him with other dogs and regularly take him to the park on a group walk, where there are football matches, children playing on a zip-wire and BMX track and in an enclosed playground and Charlie has enjoyed his walks without any issues. However, we feel Charlie would best be rehomed in a home with no young children or visiting children just as a precaution!
If you have the right experience to support Charlie’s needs and would like to adopt him, please complete an application form - link at the top of this post - but please read our adoption criteria before applying.
