Description

We were told Ronnie is a cockapoo breed however as he has grown older and both our dog groomer and vet believe he may also be part mixed with a dachshund. He isn’t as small as a dachshund but he isn’t as big as a cockapoo. He is mainly black in colour, and also beige and white in parts. He is almost 2 (in June). Toilet trained and knows “bed”, “sit” and “high five” (but he does both paws so a high ten😂). We are looking to rehome him as our other dog isn’t getting on with him (she is female). This is due to him wanting to sniff her quite a lot which she doesn’t like and even after her telling him off it doesn’t deter him. So it’s becoming quite distressing to our other dog and isn’t good for either of them. She is 7 hence why we have come to the decision to rehome Ronnie. He gets on really well with my mum’s dog who is a 3 year old cockapoo. He has stayed with both male and female dogs when we have been on holiday and he has been to dog boarding and never had issues with socialisation. Another reason for rehoming is that Ronnie is extremely affectionate and just wants attention all of the time so needs a family who can give him that. He has been around children since being a puppy, my son is 7 and he’s really good with him and he loves to play. I think he would be better being an only dog in the household so he gets the attention he needs. Ronnie could do with some continued training with regard to manners when meeting other dogs as he jumps towards them straight away to try and play. He walks really well on the lead and doesn’t pull. Also would need to work on recall as he is always on the lead with us so never really tried it. He is fine being left for a couple of hours if needed as long as he has his chew toys and some biscuits as you leave. This is really hard for us that we’ve had to come to this decision, which wasn’t made lightly. We just want the best home for him
