Description

We called this little fellow Faf as he was a kit during the Rugby World Cup and reminded us of Faf de Klerk. He never bites, and he likes human company. He is handled every day as we take him from his hutch to his run and back. He likes rabbit company too, but we have bred from him and no longer need him, so he should probably be neutered if he is going to bond with a male or female rabbit. He has a litter tray in his hutch and he is good at doing all his wees in it, and about 80% of his poo pellets. The rest of them are very dry and easy to sweep up. We used to have his hutch in our utility room, but since last summer it has been in a sheltered spot outside our back door. So he is quite used to being outdoors. In the very cold spells we gave him extra hay and a pet hot water bottle overnight. Every day we take him out to his run on the grass which he eats and gets some exercise. So either should be fine but you should consider getting him neutered, especially if (as is best) keeping with other male or female rabbits, and/or keeping him inside (as unneutered males sometimes spray a bit of wee around to mark territory, even though he uses the litter tray whenever he needs a pee).
