Young Spur-Thighed (testudo graeca) tortoises for sale
Hatched Aug/Sept 2023, carapace 65 to 85mm. This species are Annex A and must have an Article 10 CITES certificate to be legally sold. We have and will provide a certificate for each specimen, this must stay with the tortoise throughout its life.

These tortoises spent last summer daytime in a protected garden run for their safety and the winter in a Tortoise table with appropriate heating and lighting (UVB). The parents of these are available to for viewing, these generally have free reign of the garden when they are not hibernating.
We will require evidence that potential purchasers are familiar with the requirements for tortoise care, including pictures of summer and proposed winter accommodation. We reserve the right to refuse sale if necessary. These animals are relatively easy to care for, but there are fundamental pitfalls. Tortoises must not be kept in a vivarium. There are many websites that provide guidance for tortoise care, the Tortoise Trust being one example. We will provide some guidance notes that provide some care information and on the pitfalls.
