Description
Abby was rescued as a puppy from a public shelter and has just turned 2 years old in March 2025. That means she has spent almost her entire life – nearly 2 full years – behind bars. 💔
She has never known what real freedom feels like, and that’s truly heartbreaking for such a sweet soul.
Abby is a scruffy sweetheart with the softest heart and the cutest look – standing about 45 cm at the withers (we can measure her properly if needed!).
She still needs to learn how to walk on a lead… but when you try, she simply lies down and asks for cuddles instead. 🥹💕
We see Abby thriving in a loving home with people who have time and energy to guide her gently. Ideally, she’d love a secure, dog-proof garden where she can release her energy, explore, and feel free – especially in those first few months as she’s still learning to walk nicely on a lead and will need a safe space to do her business. 🏡
A doggy friend would be a bonus – not a must, but she would surely enjoy the company! 🐶🐾
This lovely girl is gentle, affectionate, and just waiting for someone to finally show her what it means to be loved. She would blossom in a calm, patient environment where she can grow at her own pace.
🐶 Could you be the one to give Abby her very first taste of freedom and love?
ABBY was microchipped and fully vaccinated.
She has been spayed, too.
We can bring her (as well as most of our available “babies”) almost anywhere in the country and you don’t have to pay a penny until you have her.
For Scotland - we normally do only one journey per month, but we can organise something in-between, if needed.
ABBY will have a comprehensive set of blood tests -for everybody’s peace of mind- before rehoming. She is a very healthy girl !
📩 Reach out if you want to meet this little scruff muffin – she’s ready to melt hearts and start her new life.
Friends InDeed is a registered Charity.
Home-Check (even done online, at times) is mandatory.
We do NOT supply dogs to non-genuine Animal-Loving people. There are all kind out there... can’t be too careful !
You must have your own garden and no children under 10 years old to adopt a dog from our Rescue.
We do not supply work, assistance or service dogs, regardless of what noble/moral that would be ! The dog you adopt from our organisation will reside as a PET in your Home and will be well looked-after and loved ! You will also agree to keep in touch with us for years to come - sending us updates and photos/video-clips ; we will try our best to help with any issues.
We do no encourage breeding and are actively involved in stray dogs neutering actions.
Our preferred method of contact is over the phone or WhatsApp - as we work during the day, with limited access to emails ; it is also more expedient - we can exchange most information in one go.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent Rescue and are doing substantial efforts to save these lives. We reserve the right to ask any / different price / donation for our rescue dogs or cats - depending on circumstances. In most cases, we are not recovering the costs !
We keep in touch with all adopters (more than 500 families, so far). On request, we can obtain & provide good references from any of them.
We receive a high number of pointless messages or calls and we do not afford wasting time…
So, Please, Please - NO TIMEWASTERS !
Thank You !
