MacDoodles are breeders of Double Doodles (Labradoodle x Goldendoodle) although hobby breeders, having only 2-3 litters a year, we are fully licensed, which means we have been inspected by a vet and the Council and have met the very higher standards expected. Our dogs are all a much loved part of the family and we work tirelessly to maintain exceptional standards of care for them and our puppies. We only let our girls have a maximum of four litters each and this is dependent on how well they recover after each litter. We NEVER breed on consecutive seasons or if girls are under 2 years of age. Our dogs have all been DNA health tested and they have all passed with flying colours. We live in 5 acres of beautiful open countryside where our dogs and puppies can run free and exercise. Our puppies are born and raised in our home and are at the heart of the family, with plenty of human contact and all the hustle, bustle and noises of typical family life. They follow a socialization and enrichment programme that introduces them to all the things they need in their very important early weeks to ensure that they are confident and well-adjusted. They are weaned onto a high-quality diet, wormed regularly and have a thorough health check with the vet prior to leaving us. The Double Doodle was initially bred in America. They are extremely smart and highly social, an ideal choice for teaching all of the critical skills that go into being a therapy dog. We are very proud that all our dogs have proven to have wonderful loving temperaments and at least 1 puppy in every litter has gone to a family or organisation to be trained as a PAT or therapy companion.
